Lilly's Craft Mall Announces Success of its Beta Free Store Program
(PRWEB) August 6, 2007 -- LillysCraftMall.com also known as www.lillysplace.net has been in the online crafting business since 2004. The Craft Mall recently announced the launch of it's Free Craft Store Program. Free stores were given out to any artist residing in the U.S. or Canada who needed an online store to sell their arts and crafts.
Since its beta test over 200 arts and crafts vendors in the U.S. and Canada have taken advantage and signed up for the program. The new stores offer a wide variety of crafts including: home décor, quilts, handmade jewelry, baby gifts, candles, ceramics, handbags and more high quality crafts at affordable prices.
The owner of Lilly's, Jenifer Brincken, states: "Over the years I have seen so many hard working crafters have to close their Internet shops due to the high costs of major auction site fees, hosting and web design fees. I knew it was time for a change, I decided to turn Lilly's Craft Mall into an affordable alternative to those high priced sites," Brincken said. "The response I have received has been inspiring. This is a work at home market that has completely been taken advantage of by many; it was in desperate need of something different. The average arts and crafts vendor just does not have hundreds of dollars to spend on a website and that is where Lilly's comes in."
With the success of the beta program Lilly's will continue to offer a basic version of their online store builder completely free to artists in need, with the option to upgrade to an unlimited store for just $5. All of the crafters at Lilly's not only receive a free Internet store but also no cost advertising in the Mall. It is a win-win situation for any aspiring artists looking to get their products online.
Unlike most of the online craft marketplaces Lilly's does not take fees out when a vendor makes a sale. Payments are processed by Pay Pal and sent directly to the vendor. This alone sets Lilly's Craft Mall apart from the competition. "It's time for a change and we hope to continue to be able to support any arts or crafts vendor that is looking for an affordable alternative to stay in the online retail business," Brincken said.
